BIOLOGIC
A True Commitment to Nature and Quality
At Tenuta Corallo, the organic method is much more than a production choice: it is a philosophy of life, a pact with the Salento territory, and a tribute to its extraordinary biodiversity. We cultivate our vineyard of about 9 hectares according to the principles of organic farming, maintaining a perfect balance between innovation and respect for the environment.
The Benefits of the Organic Method
- Grape Quality: Cultivating organically allows us to obtain grapes rich in authentic aromas and flavors, ideal for producing wines with a strong territorial character.
Protected Territory: The surrounding environment, characterized by lush Mediterranean vegetation and proximity to the sea, is safeguarded through respectful and sustainable practices.
Health: Our organic wines are free from chemical residues, offering an authentic and safe tasting experience.
The Denominations of Origin: IGT, DOC
The wines produced by Tenuta Corallo are the result of a careful selection of grapes that comply with the regulations of the Denominations of Origin to ensure quality and authenticity.
IGT - Indicazione Geografica Tipica
IGT is a designation that identifies wines from a specific geographic area, such as Salento. The IGT ensures that the wine meets certain quality standards and originates from a well-defined territory.
DOC - Denominazione di Origine Controllata
DOC represents a designation that guarantees the origin and quality of a wine. To obtain the DOC recognition, producers must follow specific guidelines regarding grape varieties, winemaking techniques, and the area of origin. Our Negroamaro and Primitivo wines are a perfect example of how the Salento region can express its characteristics through DOC wines, intense and rich in aromas.
The Vineyard: An Ecosystem in Harmony
Located near the Bay of the Turks and protected by the Mediterranean scrub, our vineyard is nourished by the sea breeze and benefits from a unique microclimate. Here, we cultivate native varieties such as Primitivo, Negroamaro, Fiano, and Aleatico, all in compliance with organic certifications.
